Mech Resources Limited operates a large-scale gold mining concession spanning 34.65 km² in Ghana’s Western Region, strategically positioned within the Asanko Gold Belt, a region renowned for its rich gold endowment. Located south of the Asanko (Galiano) Esase Deposit and near the Newcore Gold Enchi prospect, this prime geological setting provides significant gold-bearing potential. The concession is secured under a 13-year mining license, ensuring long-term operational stability and scalability. Beyond gold, exploration efforts have confirmed substantial deposits of titanium, cobalt, and rare earth elements (REEs), including Cerium (Ce), Lanthanum (La), Neodymium (Nd), and Praseodymium (Pr), further enhancing the project’s economic potential.
Gold processing at Mech Resources will be supported by a diverse and high-grade feedstock supply sourced from multiple large-scale and small-scale mining operations. The primary ore supply will come from the Mech Resources concession, with additional ore sourced from adjacent Cape North Limited, Tera Nayo Limited, and Optec Limited mining licenses. This multi-source strategy ensures a stable and continuous supply chain, optimizing plant utilization and supporting long-term production efficiency.
To maximize recovery rates and production efficiency, Mech Resources will establish a centralized Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) processing plant in the northern portion of the concession. This fully mechanized facility will process ore from the Mech Resources mining license and three additional mining licenses, consolidating production into a single hub. The integration of in-house mining operations will provide full control over logistics, production planning, and operating costs, positioning Mech Resources as a leading mechanized gold producer in the region. Additionally, the company’s exploration success in identifying high-value critical minerals—including titanium, rare earth elements, and cobalt—further diversifies its resource base and aligns with global demand for strategic minerals used in renewable energy, electric vehicles, and high-tech industries.
