The projects are located at Wassa Amenfi, which has an approximate population of 129,882 residents. This area is known for its mining communities, which includes a skilled labor force with experience in operating excavators, loaders, dozers, dump trucks, and other mining equipment. Such resources are also readily available within the surrounding regions and towns.
Access to essential machinery, spare parts, tools, construction materials, and logistics for the projects are convenient, as many resources are available just minutes away in the Wassa Amenfi township. Additionally, more extensive support is a 4 to 5 hour drive from the project in the Western Region's capital, Takoradi.
The Takoradi Port, Ghana's second largest, handles 37% of the country's seaborne traffic and 62% of national exports, including key minerals like gold, manganese, and bauxite. This port is critical for receiving container-based materials from international suppliers for the project.
The Takoradi Airport, Ghana's fourth busiest airport, provides world-class domestic and international transport services. Companies like PHI Century Limited, Monarch Air Group, and Volta River Aviation Limited offer helicopter and private jet services, supporting personnel movement and logistics for the safe transport of dore bars and other goods. This makes staff travel and logistics management both safer and more efficient.
